Gargoyles
TV Show • 1994 • Animation
ReportGargoyles is an American cartoon series produced by Disney Television Animation and Buena Vista Television, and originally aired from October 24, 1994 to February 15, 1997. The series is credited for its relatively dark tone, complex story arcs, and melodrama; character arcs were heavily employed throughout the series, as were Shakespearean themes.
A Gargoyles video game adaptation and a spin-off comic series were also created in 1995. The show's storyline continued from 2006–2009 in a comic book series of the same name, written by Greg Weisman and produced by Slave Labor Graphics.

One of the main human characters is a cop that’s pretty heroic. TO BE FAIR, she’s not presented as a good guy because of her job though

This episode is basically a PSA warning kids not to play with guns (and parents not to leave them where kids can reach). A main character is accidentally shot and badly injured. You may want to skip it if you are particularly bothered by guns. Aside from this episode, human characters frequently use guns, though somebody actually getting shot is rare.
