The scarab fusing with the main character is full body horror. Not bloody, but quite visceral as his body is encased in the suit. There's also a lot of screaming during the scene, and when he shows the scarab in its dormant form later in the movie, it's embedded into his spine partially beneath the skin and the areas around where it is on the outside are inflamed.

There is graffiti reading "gringo go home," granted "gringo" mostly means white people but the term also means any foreigner (which can include BIPOC) in a Latin American country so I thought that was worth noting. Racist boss calls a Latino worker the wrong surname on purpose. Villains attack a family’s house in a way akin to an ICE raid but hateful intent isn’t confirmed.
