Easy to infer. There's footage and discussion of sound artists walking into zoos in the 70s-90s to get recordings of exotic animal sounds. I felt the attitude was overly casual and possibly exploitative. "Yeah we'd just try to see what kind of roars we could get 'em to do, yknow?" (Although the only specific example given was a heartwarming story about giving treats to a bear.)

Footage from The Shining (I think) where the "Heeeeere's Johnny" guy smashes through the wall with the axe and the woman screams.

Nothing at the very end, but if you watch the credits until the music starts playing, you can hear a "combo platter" of subtle sound effects.

No! When they started talking about The Matrix, I was worried someone would misgender the Wachowskis, but they didn't.

Yes, many clips of gun violence are shown, often selected for extra visceral sound editing choices. Most notably the footage from the opening of Saving Private Ryan.

Written, not spoken. Footage is shown from the movie Selma (2014) and the word shows up on a sign held by a racist protestor.

Just several clips from films where major characters die. None of the sound pioneers discussed in the documentary die.

Yes, they show a brutal death scene from Apocalypse Now where a character is run through. Meanwhile, they're discussing how the groundbreaking surround sound was used to make the scene more dramatic and drawn out.

They feature clips from Jaws, most notably where the shark is leaping out of the water toward the viewer with snapping teeth.
