General note: Episodes S01E05, S03E01, S03E06 and S13E03 are about spouses killing their partners, with no other violence taking place in the relationship beforehand. S01E07 A husband kills his controlling and cruel wife. S04E01 A man threatens to violently kill his wife. This information is relayed to us by another character and we never see it on screen, but the wife is killed and suspicion naturally falls on the verbally abusive husband. S12E03 A husband and other men stone his wife for adultery. S12E04 A husband shouts at his wife and later strikes her in the face. S13E04 A husband screams at his wife and strikes her, leaving a mark on her face and making her cry. S13E05 A wife repeatedly verbally abuses her husband and he later shoots her. It's unclear if it was an accident or intentional. Another husband is suspected of murdering his wife in this same episode.

S13E04 a woman claims that a naked man let himself into her room with the intention of attacking her, but ran before he could touch her. This is later proved to be a lie, as no man entered her room.

S01E02. S02E01 It's implied that a woman intentionally overdoses. S01E10 A man says he has recurring dreams of ending his own life; he later dies in the exact manner he dreamed of. S02E08 A woman points a gun at her head, we cut away right as she pulls the trigger. S03E02 A character attempts to end their life by drinking weedkiller, but it's been replaced by alcohol and the character is not hurt. S03E05 A terminally ill character tries to ingest poison to end their life, but is prevented. S03E08 A character intentionally overdoses on pills but is saved and given medial care. S09E01. A central theory for most of the episode is suicide, so it is discussed a lot. S09E03. Double suicide by gun. S10E03. Sort of? They allowed someone to kill them. S10E04. One by gun, the other attempts an overdose but survives. S11E03 One instance of a faked suicide and a mention of an accidental suicide (the person wanted to be found and saved). S11E04 about 1:03:00 A character is discovered to have drowned themselves in a bath. Later two adults inject themselves with lethal drugs. S12E02 It's revealed that a character died of suicide. S12303 By gun, in the first few minutes. Later, mentions of two more deaths. S13E01 The episode starts with a double suicide. S13E03 A double suicide, not explicit, we just hear distant gunshots. S13E05 Mention of a character we've never met dying by suicide. Later a disabled character talks of wanting to end their life. They die shortly after and it's not clear at first if it was their own doing.

S10E04 It's not graphic, but a character who survived an explosion requires regular drugs to cope. They are called "shell-shocked", but they don't have any flashbacks or loss of awareness for where they are. As someone with PTSD, this didn't bother me at all to watch. It's very subtle. S11E04 A character has flashbacks to a traumatic near-death experience.

S13E05 A wheelchair user refers to themselves as "crippled" and is generally sad about their level of dependency on others, this being brought on by old age and poor health. Many episodes include white British people grumbling about their aversion to "foreigners", or using someone's citizenship as a reason to cast doubt on their character. I don't think it's ever actually directed at the person's face.

Lots of first cousins marrying each other throughout the show, as was more common back in that period setting.

S03E09 Sort of? The plane hasn't taken off and is going slow on a runway. It bumps into a patch of weeds and tips forward into a shallow ditch. No one is hurt and it's all pretty gentle. S13E03 Discussion of a character killed in a plane crash.

Many episodes feature this. Notable instances: S11E2 A shoot out between two parties in the first two minutes of the episode.
