Life After People is a television series on which scientists, structural engineers, and other experts speculate about what might become of Earth should humanity instantly disappear. The featured experts also talk about the impact of human extinction on the environment, and the vestiges of civilization thus left behind.
Many dogs (and other domesticated animals) die within days or weeks of mankind’s disappearance due to not being able to find food. Some do survive, however, and become wild animals again.
Most livestock will die out without humans because they need humans to survive. Some, however, don’t need humans as much, so they will make it. Many pigs, certain tough cattle, sheep protected by certain sheepdogs, and New York horses are shown to adapt and survive.
Burmese Pythons (some as big as 25 feet long!) are shown taking over the Everglades without humans to control them. And Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes are also shown, after 75 years without people, some are bigger then ever at more then 9 feet long!
