Monster High: Welcome to Monster High
Movie • 2016 • Animation
ReportSynopsis
Monsters once lived in hiding—even from each other—because they were afraid they would be in danger if humans knew they existed. But Draculaura, the daughter of Dracula, along with her best ghoulfriends, dreamt of a school where everyone was welcome and accepted for who they are. Determined to make their dream come true, the ghouls travel the world on an epic adventure to recruit new students. But even in this amazing place, there's drama: a villainess zombie is spreading trouble rather than friendship, and every student must live with the fear that their secret will be revealed. Now the ghouls must save their school so that every monster has a place where they belong and their uniqueness is celebrated!

Not exactly but multiple children/teens are hidden away, ostracised and have no socialisation with “normies” or even other monsters at the beginning. This may bring up hard feelings or memories for marginalised peoples’ that where treated this way as children, especially those who experienced the “ugly laws” and the lasting affects of that

A fat blob of slime eats an entire box of cereal then eats the spoon, box and bowl as well and is later seen eating an entire case of desserts, which sort of contributes to a misrepresentation/stereotype about fat people always eating or eating “too much”. The lunch lady also contributes to this stereotype

“Crazy” is misused to mean bad or wild. Frankie mocks her fathers slurred speech pattern. The discrimination that monsters face is a clear allegory or racism and ableism, especially “the ugly laws”. Clawdeen also says “look at them, I don’t think they talk” in reference to zombies which may come off as ableist to any nonspeaking/semi speaking viewers

Mildly to severely depending on what it is, typically falling into stereotyping. Egytians, Transylvanians accents, Napalese/Himilayan accents, fat people, disabled and BIPOC coded characters, latinx people, nonverbal people
