Possibly. A cabin boy is abused: I don't believe his age is given and the actor is 21 but cabin boys were often 16 or younger and he's definitely implied to be quite young, so it's worth being careful.

In episode 1 there is a dead dog on the street, pigs in a butcher shop, and they kill and skin several seals towards the end of the episode. In episode 2 they kill a whale and flense it.

Sumner examines a teenage cabin boy who complains of stomach pain and realizes he’s been raped. He treats his wounds and the boy is too scared to disclose who raped him. Sumner attempts to discuss it with the captain, Brownlee. The boy is called to the captain and his experience is dismissed. The boy is still too frightened to disclose who did it and is clearly distressed. The captain tells Summer to leave it and nothing further is done.
