An anthology of various tales with robots being the one common element among them. It consists of nine shorts by different well-known directors, many of whom started out as animators with little to no directing experience. Each has a distinctive animation style and story ranging from comedic to dramatic story lines.

1. Introduction - No
1. Star Light Angel - Yes, during a roller coaster segment in the beginning as well as lightning flashes during the greyscale scene.
2. Cloud - Yes, in the form of lightning during a storm and an explosion in the distance as well as a later, hard to describe scene that utilizes rapid high-contrast motion.
3. Deprive - YES. Various scenes, especially fighting scenes, utilize flashes for each hit or attack. There are also many explosions which could be seen as flashy.
4. Franken's Gear - YES, in the form of a lightning storm during the beginning of the film as well as when a machine is used later.
5. Presence - No
6. Japan Late 19th Century / A Tale of Two Robots Chapter 3: "Foreign Invasion" - No
