Some people drink alcohol recreationally (mostly beer) but I wouldn’t say they abuse it

Mystique drugs a guard’s drink. He passes out while making out with her in a bathroom stall.

Mystique also tries to seduce Wolverine by kissing him while disguised. He is disgusted when he discovers who she is.

Wolverine and another mutant both have retractable claws - and we know they cut their own skin (on knuckles and fingertips) painfully when those claws come out

We see flashbacks to Wolverine’s past - with torturous medical experiments. Also, a villain’s treatment of his own son seems like prolonged torture.

Depends on the interpretation. You could argue Magneto has PTSD if you’ve seen X-Men 1.

The political talk against mutants as well as direct action against them feels like a direct parallel to genocides or the persecution of queer people

Slightly. The way a human father talks about his mutant son feels quite ableist. Also the movie itself uses said son’s actual disability (caused by his father) to make him seem creepy

A man has the blood sucked out of him through magnetism; you see a cloud of the stuff as he struggles and dies.
