No, there isn't any explicit child abuse (it's a kid's show), but there's some mild content in the first ep (B1:E1) which might upset people who want to avoid the orphan-who's-neglected/mistreated trope (like Harry Potter, Cinderella, etc.). A main character named Jack alludes to unpleasant early childhood experiences when he talks about being an orphan who has been placed with many different foster families (who are shown in quick snapshot flashbacks)... and he watches his current foster family drive out of town and abandon him in the middle of a zombie/monster apocalypse. He says, "The whole foster family took off on Day 1..." and "I've lived in a lot of places with a lot of different people... but I never had a family."
