Follow-up series to 'Vikings' set 100 years afterward and centering on the adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Harada and the Norman King William the Conqueror.
This tv show contains 45 potentially triggering events.
An infant is kidnapped and left alone in a boat filled with corpses, but is rescued. A child is (willingly) sacrificed in a ritual. A group of children survive the slaughter of their village but are still traumatized.
Some horses are cut free on a river of ice as the ice breaks. They are given the chance to run for their lives. We are not shown whether or not they succeed.
Not really abused, but crows are fed wine-soaked bread to incapacitate them so something can be attached to their legs. They are unharmed, but I thought I'd mention the intoxication.
Dead animals hanging for butchering. A dead pig roasts on a spit in season 1 episode 8. A dead deer is shown in season 2 episode 1. A goat is killed and its body is shown in season 2 episode 4. A goat head is shown on a pike in season 3 episode 6.
S1E1 18:40-20:30 Freydis describes a past rape. Much of this episode deals with her plans for revenge, culminating in her killing her rapist. S1E2 starts with Freydis’ trial for killing her rapist, including accusations from his friend that she is lying. S1E8 43:10-44:05 attempted rape
S1E7 when he is thrown from his horse. You don't hear or see it happen, but when he's lying on the ground, you see his leg twisted very wrongly, and it briefly shows the bone coming through the skin.
Season 1 episode 4, around 30:50, a man gouges another man's eyes with his thumbs. Season 1 episode 5, the Seer in Freydis' vision is missing his eyes and the skin is scarred. Season 2 episode 2, a man's eye is gouged by a hot iron.
Season 2, episode 5 (SPOILERS: baby is taken almost immediately after birth and the mother is supposed to be killed. She recovers her baby at the end of the next episode and kills the abductor, but not until after he's taken from her one or two more times)
A boy is shot with arrows in season 1 episode 1. At the beginning of season 1 episode 6, the heads of multiple villagers are found in the woods, children among them. Around 23:00 in the same episode, a child has his throat slit (offscreen) as a pagan sacrifice.
Several characters who we know die at various points in the episode. More than one has family whom we have met, though they don't die in front of them.
A man believes there's a person in a cage, but nobody else can see it. He is violent. But then, so are all the "sane" people, too. It's not like the show links his delusion to his violence.
Kinda? Someone almost walks off a roof to their death, but they're high, so not fully aware of their actions. Also, they don't walk off the roof, so... It's more of an almost attempt by someone who is under the influence.
The slaves are mostly kept below decks where they're confined to a small compartment. We (the camera, the viewers, however you word it) do not spend time in the compartment. The camera only shows us inside the hatch.
S1E3 24:25- 25:33 there’s a fight where men hold each other underwater. One hits his head and slumps into the water. S1E6 a village is destroyed by a large wave.
