I don’t believe that brutalizing for spectacle was the intent of the filmmaker or the slant of the film. However part of the story being told is that the aspiring porn star goes to a “bad shoot” that seems to be catering to an audience that fetishizes brutalizing women. If this is a trigger for you, I’m not sure it would matter that the film doesn’t condone it; that scene is a tough watch.
