A gentle, sweet, funny, romantic story of love in later life. Following a couple in their sixties, Dave (Dave Johns) and Fern (Alison Steadman) who get to know one another over the course of 23 dog walks. Set against the dramatic background of the changing seasons of one year.
Depends on perspective - there is a relationship and a sexual interaction between a married man and a divorced lady, before and after she find out about the wife, but extenuating circumstances apply for the absence of the wife.
Spoilers:
Wife lives in hospice care and has dementia/alzheimers and does not remember her family. Husband considers her 'gone' but still loves her.
This is a key part of the storyline, not a shock, dealt with well, but very emotional.
