A trans child is “outed” to the viewer by another character, and then later to medical professionals who need to know, because they were misgendering the child. They were told off and listened.
Autism is never mentioned, but at least two female characters show many autistic traits and are pretty good “representation” actually, despite the fact that they are by definition not representing anything when they are not mentioned to be said thing, of course.
no children are straight up abused but some are implicitly somewhat neglected (kristy’s father abandoned her, mrs barrett uses babysitters excessively and is irresponsible/struggling to co parent after a divorce)
No parent dies in the series, but it is revealed that a character's parent died when she was 18 months old, and the subject of her death is discussed occasionally.
(*spoilers*) There are hospital scenes in episodes 4 (a child has a fever and is taken to the E.R.) and 6 (Mimi has a stroke and is visited in the hospital), and in episode 10, 2 characters are confined to the camp's infirmary due to poison ivy.
Spoiler alert? In Se1E3, the girls find out that Stacey has diabetes and a video is shared of her having a fit and she is shaking. Its not an anxiety attack but similar and could he triggering to some.
nothing too excessive but in 2x6 two characters get trapped in a secret passageway for a little while, it’s fairly roomy though and they’re found quickly
A girl has a seizure brought on by undiagnosed diabetes. People share the video of her having a seizure on Instagram, and you can briefly see comments on the video calling her a freak.
One of the girls who is babysat by the BSC is a transgender girl. (*spoiler*) When she is taken to the hospital, the doctor and nurse misgender her multiple times, until they are corrected, then they use the correct pronouns.
a young girl has a crush on a much older boy and seems to believe that he is flirting with her, but he is not actually interested in her and sees her as a kid.
no, however an elderly character (who later passes away) does become more forgetful / disorganised after having a stroke so worth being aware of if that might be upsetting or reminiscent to you
