SPOILERS
Emotionally, yes. Draculaura (1600 years old, which is equivalent to 16) is lied to and trapped into a situation where Lord Stoker will use her, making her queen and using her as his pawn to cause chaos and destruction between the vampires and other monster kinds. He specifically picks her because she is shy and “feeble”, preying on her insecurity. Draculaura discovers she isn’t the “true queen”, that Stoker was manipulating her. The true queen, Elissabat (1601 years old, equivalent to ~16) only had Stoker as her last remaining guardian after her parents passed, Stoker being her uncle. She ran away from him because of this controlling behaviour, the ghouls must find her and get her help to stop him. He later tries to manipulate Draculaura. Elissabat reveals herself, reclaims her title as queen, has him taken away by her guards, disowns him and banishes him from the Vampire world.
Ygor is a sidekick to the villain but also mentions experiencing his controlling and violent behaviour. He mentions not being allowed to watch movies and that “master gets very cranky [when you touch his stuff]”.

They make fun of the comedically “dumb” and clumsy character.
The villain asks if this chracter has “lost his mind” he replies “no ygor still keeps it in this little jar”, he shows the jar and it’s a tiny pickled brain.
The villain insults Draculaura by saying “someone of your limited abilities” referring to how he sees her as manipulatable and lesser for not having her vampire powers yet and being shy.

Fictional characters in a in-world movie they watch and a celebrity that is a minor is talked about by people around the same age, many of them have a crush on the chracter or the actress. No actual sexual stuff happens just “isnt his eyes dreamy” etc.

Mentions of Draculaura fleeing Transylvania due to humans discriminating against monsters.
In-world racism against non-vampire monsters. Basically, Vampire supremacy from one guy.
Hate against normies is also brought up frequently in the franchise, which would include Draculaura, who was born to human parents and turned into a vampire.
Draculaura is bullied and called “an embarrassment to [her] kind”
Draculaura mentions she dislikes a celebrity actress because her works are stereotypes of vampires and inaccurate.

Cleo is very whitewashed in the poster art for this movie.
Gollums “multiple personalities” is parodied and played for a joke. Gollum is a hugely stigmatising representation of DID/OSDD/Plurality, especially using the “evil personality” trope.
Almost every character is played by a white person, Clawdeen especially is notable as her voice actress is a white woman doing a blaccent. The exception to this is Claud, played by a black man, Viperine, who has a Spanish accent and is played by a Latina woman.
Hoodude is a stereotype of Voodoo/Vodou and Voodoo dolls. Voodoo is a closed practice religion used by Haitian and Black American people, often by the formerly enslaved. Voodoo is often characterised as harmful or malicious because it’s strong connection with blackness and the racism of depicting black people as “savages”. Voodoo dolls aren’t meant to inflict harm unto others, they are primarily used for communication with the dead and ancestors. “Poppet” is the more appropriate, open practise term to use instead of voodoo doll.
Fatphobic and ableist depiction of the villains “pawn”. He is constantly used as the butt of a joke.
The “boo world” (new world) and therefore colonisation is mentioned. It is not mentioned the impact it had in this world.
A villain sidekick is forced to call his superior “master” and is treated like a kid and emotionally abused by him.
“Cray cray”, which is AAVE, is used by a Himalayan/russian character voiced by a white woman.

No one is ever stated to have a real world disability or chronic illness, however, a lot of the monsters’ powers or quirks could be seen as an allegory to such. For example, Draculaura not yet having vampire powers, dispite all her same-age vampire peers having them could be seen as an allegory to developmental delay. Ghoulia’s use of “Zombie” (groaning) to communicate could be seen as an allegory to semiverbal communication, her slow movement due to her being a zombie could also be seen as an allegory to physical disability. Cleo being unable to take off her mummy wraps, or she would die, could be seen as a magical allegory for a life-sustaining disability aid.

Someone sneaks up on the ghouls, they are shadowy and look like they have a red glowing eye, we see them through the POV of the supposed attacker. The ghouls scream, then it is revealed as a fake out and the monster is just filming something and flying around because she’s a ghost.

Actually some good Demisexual/ace/aspec rep. I really related to as a kid and now as an adult.
People start arguing over which character in their in-world romance show is more attractive.
“How bout you Twyla?” -Howleen says
“Who do you like?” -Toralei adds
“Come on, looks don’t make the monster. I can’t just crush on a shadow I’ve only seen on the silver [screen]. I mean, it’s what’s in his heart that counts. You can’t judge a bat by its wings. Right?” - Twyla replies.
They ignore her and continue bickering, realising later she’s right.

No but Draculaura is bullied. After telling her friends about the vampire kingdom and its mysterious missing queen, they joke around that she could be the missing queen. She is then bullied and harassed by many of the students, mocking her that she thought she could be vampire queen (even though that’s not what happened)

They play on the fact that they’re making a movie about making movies, theres also moments when models are intentionally reused, as if the “actor” is “playing” all these in-world fiction characters.
A writer, Claudia points out that “in a story nothing is coincidence, in this part of the story I’d use a literary device like foreshadowing or symbolism.” They then find the clue they where looking for and she says “not super sublte, but i guess if it serves the story”
