there is a section about the Sandy Hook shooting- nothing graphic is shown, but there is news footage showing outside of the school as well as a voiceover of a 911 call made by a woman trapped in the school during the shooting, which is very disturbing and difficult to listen to. President Obama also meets with some of the relatives of people who were killed in the shooting.

during a scene discussing refugees, it is mentioned that a refugee child does not have any toys. this may be because the toys were destroyed during some kind of attack or because there were no toys to begin with; the reason why the child has no toys in unclear, but it could be construed that the toys were destroyed because the child in question is shown in a battle context.

some potentially disturbing content happens abruptly- the Sandy Hook shooting comes up very quickly with little foreshadowing.

there are scenes of people protesting Brett Kavanaugh outside the White House. there is no explicit mention of sexual assault but the protest scenes are there.

there is a section about the Sandy Hook shooting although no graphic imagery is shown. there is also a scene about a shooting at a church, and again no graphic imagery is shown.

the only blood and gore shown is a picture of two young children in the back of an ambulance with dusty, bloody faces, but who don’t appear to be wounded. however there are frequent mentions of violence- the bin laden mission is talked about but now shown, the Sandy Hook shooting is talked about and there is footage of the outside of the school shown as well as audio of a 911 call made by a woman trapped in the school during the shooting, there is a short scene in which a church shooting is mentioned, there are a few scenes of coffins but the bodies are not shown, there is a person in a hospital who looks to be in serious condition but no blood shown, non-graphic scenes of protest, there is talk about a veteran who was wounded in action and they show before and after photos of him (the photos are not bloody or gory and they show footage of him meeting with President Obama). there is very little blood and gore but this list is simply things that viewers who don’t like violence also may not enjoy.
