Two siblings who discover their seemingly normal mom is a former thief in witness protection. Mom is forced to pull one last job, and the kids team up to rescue her over the course of an action-packed night.
Not really, but it’s possible that a henchman dies offscreen from having his windpipe crushed. Nothing graphic at all, but the mom says he’ll be fine as long as he receives immediate medical attention before fleeing (meaning the henchman will not be receiving immediate medical attention). This is played sort of for laughs and not brought up again, I just figured it would be worth mentioning
The mom uses a rock to block an antagonist’s punch, leading the antagonist to punch the rock instead and cry out in pain. She recovers very quickly and there’s no visible damage to her hand
When the two boys are getting set up in the tent, they complain that there are bugs everywhere and a decently large spider dangles from the top of the tent by a web right in front of the dad’s face.
Later, when the family is being held hostage and the antagonist is on the phone, there’s an enormous wolf spider that crawls onto a table and the dad picks it up at throws it at/onto the antagonist to distract her. It’s not seen again but there’s mention of it being the most poisonous kind of spider and the spider having an egg sac on its back with “thousands of babies”
If you are okay with spoilers, read. After the parents of the kids fly to another country to steal the queen's crown, their dad almost vomits while in the car (because he has motion sickness), but doesn't, even though audio is terrible. Furthermore, in the movie, he ends up actually vomiting, after getting the special drug in his mouth, which was meant for a queen. At first, they think that everything is fine, but then he starts puking his guts out. Not gonna lie, the stuff itself looks pretty fake, but it is really bad. Stop looking (and maybe mute), when he puts his drugged hand on his mouth (he starts puking about 15 seconds after). Also, you can see vomit on his face and clothes later on in the movie.
There’s a scene where the characters go through a small hidden door and into a dark tunnel underground and then come out of an air vent. It could trigger a viewer’s claustrophobia or make someone uncomfortable
This review is for the sleepover with Mazin Akerman and Joe Manganiello.
