*spoiler* About halfway through the film the main character relapses into pretty extreme alcoholism. There is a scene where his teenage daughter has to help him up the stairs into bed. While trying to get him to go to bed he continues to be s****y and belligerent to her, while she is crying and says "Please stop you're scaring me." The main character then throws a beer bottle at a mirror but he almost threw it at the daughter. To me, this is child abuse.
