There's no wetting or soiling themselves, however the characters have a bathroom in town that they will run to go use at certain times of day depending on their schedule (yes each character's daily walk cycle does include two bathroom breaks). They will run to the bathroom with urgency, but upon closing the door they usually just hum a little tune before walking out after around 30 seconds. One quest does require you to feed a character a specific bugsnak in order to collect the waste to use as "fertilizer" for their plants.
