Frequent throughout the game. They cannot be toned down in settings.
Visual settings allow you to make the red a different color and also flash to make it easier for some to see.
Deaths involving collisions with both a truck and train are core parts of the game's narrative. Several puzzles deeply investigate the crash involving the truck and intense, flashing flashbacks in the game depict both incidents.
In a sequence in the game, the main character gets her body possessed by a (at the time) unknown entity upon failing to trick her and attempts to make her fall off a building (and succeeds without player intervention).

The main character is at one point taken to a mysterious room (with the two main characters assuming it's a kidnapping) but the situation is de-escalated and the perpetrator had simply taken her to safety.
The main narrative's subject matter deals with suicide. It is arguable if the deaths in the game are by suicide but a character's attempt is a core part of the narrative.
