A lot of body horror. Heads being shaped in ways that heads shouldn't, flesh turning into tentacles, etc. It's present in the first three books, and I haven't read the fourth yet but I reckon there's some in there too.
In the 3rd book, people are almost hit by cars multiple times.
A part of Jack's (the main character) backstory also involves a car crash, leaving his partner in a coma
Kind of, there are plants that grow a character but its like a sentient plant thing and not a baby but also its not developed and the plants are killed
No descriptions of child abuse, one of the characters is revealed to have an abusive father in the 3rd book and he does list events of his father neglecting, abusing, and taking him to a klan rally.
there is also an part in the 2nd book were there is a child abuser, but he is killed
One character frequently partakes in many kinds of drugs. The main character has prescription drugs. The characters are sometimes drugged against their will.
In the second book, one character grinds up living squirrels in a blender. And it's implied in the third book that the main character ate an entire chipmunk while in an incoherent state. The main character occasionally uses animals as projectile weapons.
A glorious moth-raccoon beast was hunted and harmed in the third book.
In the first volume, the main character vomits on a rabbit. And it is implied that some rabbit torture was done by an antagonist at some point in the past.
Jack hallucinates spiders, its a side effect of the pain killers. Its a very brief mention and it only happens once.
There is also a spider like lizard creature in the second book.
bugs are the central theme of the Halloween special that isn't in the books. But there are mentions and descriptions of bugs and bug like creatures.
The main character also hallucinates bugs inside of his leg cast that crawl all over his body in the second book.
One character has his neck cut open [can't remember which book]. And the main character attempts to cut off his own hand with a boxcutter in the third book.
The main character's leg gets amputated due to an infection in the second book. On several occasions, people are referenced to have cut their own hands off. In the third book, the main character tries to cut his own hand off. The main character has his pinkie finger cut off by an antagonist [can't remember which book]. In the fourth book, an antagonist has their trigger finger ripped off.
In the first book, a character gouges out both his eyes. In the third book, a character's eyes roll back so far into his head that it causes damage. It was described in detail.
There is a very brief mention in the 3rd book of an unknown kids dying. No descriptions.
But In Bedside manor (not in the books) there is a kid who dies multiple times
In the forth book, syringes were used to administer drugs to an unconscious character. Also in the fourth book, needles were used to drain the blood from a dead character. I can't remember if needles/syringes were used on other occasions.
There are themes of suicide through out all of the books so far but its never intense. There are two events where someone tries to shoot themself (1st and 2nd book), someone setting themself on fire (2nd), and a very brief mention of a principal hanging himself (3rd)
In the 3rd book the main character has something called 'super panic mode' (or something similar) and he describes it like having a panic attack, but never in detail. Also in the 3rd book, he breaks down in the bathroom into what seems like an anxiety attack.
There is a racist character in the 2nd book, he is awful to Rosa who is a brown, Latina woman and another gas station employee who I believe is also Latino and brown.
Also in the 3rd book, the main character and a black cop are cussed out for holding hands (not romantically), cause the racist thought they were an interracial couple
