Nothing long-term or by anyone but the bad guys. Kids ("young adults" as they say) fight the bad guys, but they've got cool gadgets to combat the adults with guns and it's portrayed in a light-hearted family-friendly playtime kinda vibe where the kids have just as much a chance to win as the mercenary types. The parents of kids / non-bad-guys are portrayed as good / non-abusive (neglectful at worst, due to being busy.)

No, but note that there's a gadget that's like Xena's Chakram (think frisbee with a big hole in the middle like a donut or bagel) and it essentially makes portals between the two of them. It's used by one of the kids (placed over head) a couple of times, so it appears their head is in a different place. They are alive during this process and it's not painful or harmful.

At the beginning, someone almost is, but he stops in time. Also when the kids get the superhero car out it stops before it gets to them, but was moving quickly so they were scared for a second.
