A mother is executed point blank in front of her 3 crying young daughters and her begging/bleeding husband. The girls are asked a few questions on maths and spelling by the leader of the Taliban. They answer while crying (hard to watch) and then because the answers were right, which means they are educated, he kills the mother on her knees as she looks to her daughters. Scene is meant to show brutality of Taliban, but isn't at all connected to the plot of the story.
