In 1993, six months after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, FBI Agent Clarice Starling returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.
A young boy is killed and sealed in a wall, and another boy is killed by the same man. A child is also assumed dead after being kidnapped. A man makes a painting using the blood and tissue from miscarried fetuses (SPOILER which we later see in jars)
Depends. Clarice is part of the fbi but it’s repeatedly stated how corrupt, misogynistic, and racist the bureau is. (Ex. One agent sexually harasses Clarice and she punches him in the face. There’s a story arc about how black fbi agents are ignored and mistreated)
The main character has PTSD and it is a large pary of her character. Another character who is a survivor of Buffalo Bill is also shown to have some form of PTSD.
S1E2 - A comment is made about a man being interested in th young women under his care, there is an implication that they are used in a sex trafficking ring.
S1E2 - Heavy implications of child abuse. A child has wounds from being made to shoot a gun. There is also an implication of young girls being used for sex and prostitution.
Episode 2 a girl is chained to a wall with a man in the room.. Heavily insinuated. The called it prostitution but it is short and nothing graphic is shown
S1E5 - Clarice and a nurse talk at length about coma patients whose families do not visit/care for them. The word "vegetable" is used to describe these patients.
