Serious emotional and verbal abuse between the main character Ani and her mother in a few flashback scenes when she’s a teen. Especially after this parent finds out about her g*ng r*pe then victim blames (citing drinking as the real reason), says she’s disgusted by Ani and she is not the daughter she raised. Also she raised Ani with the intent to marry her off to a rich man, and blames her own boring life on Ani.
