Yes. There is a group of water snakes and a rattlesnake. There are also snake bite scenes depicted. One POV character has a phobia of snakes and frequently thinks she sees snakes/is plagued by the threat of snakes appearing. The character whose storyline features snakes is a more minor character than other POV characters, but the snakes a large part of her story.

Technically no, however there are many scenes that hinge around kidnapping and which give the impression someone is kidnapped. One of driving themes of the book is the mystery of a missing child, so kidnap plays a large role in the book and is always present in the background. If kidnapping themes are triggering for you I would advise against reading this book for that reason.

There is a very minor character who is a cop, but the protrayal is fairly neutral. She only appears a handful of times, and isn't portrayed as positive.

No, not at all. There are no psychiatric institutions in this book. I think maybe a couple of people voted "yes" simply because a mentally ill person does attend sessions with a psychiatrist, and at one point they are hospitalized for an injury and a doctor speaks to them about the psychiatric medication they are taking. Nobody is 5150'd or spends any time at all in a psychiatric ward or institution. I don't even recall one ever being mentioned or referenced as a possible option or threat.

Conversations pertaining to suicidal ideation take place, and the character in question attempts suicide. Nobody says this exact phase though.

No, but for reasons I can't mention without completely spoiling the book there are characters who struggle with body image issues and bodily identity that could be upsetting for people who have mental illnesses that pertain to this. But no, nobody has body dysmorphia disorder.

No. The homophobic assault of a gay man is mentioned towards the end of the book, which I thought I should mention somewhere seems there's no question related to it.

One POV character has a sad ending, all the other characters have a really lovely, and healing ending which is the actual ending of the book. There are a lot of sad elements surrounding the ending, but it is still ultimately a very happy ending for a story of this nature and you will come away from the book feeling good about how it ends.
