Maybe some minor body horror? Aside from the graphic injuries seen in the film (which are grotesque but not 'body horror' as I've come to understand it...) there is a scene where Zach cuts open Martin's arm & embeds something into it, before crudely stitching it closed again. Eventually Olivia has to cut the stitching & retrieve the thing from his arm.
Quite graphically - Zach decides the removal of a couple of Martin's toes is necessary to stop the worsening infection of his foot injury... He places Martin's (bare) foot on a log & after a couple of anxiety inducing 'warm up swings' with his hatchet to get his aim right, he then hacks off Martin's 2 smaller toes in 2 separate swings
When Alma heroically attempts to venture through the 'spore' fog (after donning a hazmat suit) she is still affected by the spores & starts hallucinating & having a sort of seizure.
For those who want the details to avoid it, here's a SPOILER AHEAD -
During the climax of the film when Zach attacks Alma after she's just managed to fight off Olivia, he has her on the ground & is about to stab her when she manages to pull out a tent peg & stab it in his eye. He stands back up out of shock & freaks out a little, then picks up a mirror to briefly inspect the damage. He attempts a couple of times to pull the peg out (which it seems would have pulled his eyeball out with it) before stopping & calmly telling Alma (who he was seconds away from stabbing to death) "You're going to need to take me to the hospital". A second later she whacks the peg hard, driving it into his brain to kill him.
That last part isn't so graphic as it's super quick.
I agree with 'CatsInHatz' comment; there are some graphic & icky injuries (inc. Martin's foot & arm, Zach's forehead wound & eventual eye stabbing), the graphic departure of Martin's toes by way of Zach's maniacal hatchet wielding, & the discovery of some of Zach's previous victims (now deceased) with their innards spilling out; however I wouldn't say there was excessive gore. In other words, there was plenty of graphic depictions of injuries, but there wasn't any excessive use of blood/guts or the like.
No, but some toys belonging to one or more unknown children were mysteriously left behind in the forest, apparently quite recently, and are not protected against the elements.
Two adults are tricked into entering someone's abode (only a few meters from where they came completely of their own accord) and are kept in captivity there overnight, then escape.
There is a very intense/graphic close-up around 29 min (a man getting foot stitches), at 35:30 (close-up of the same character getting arm stitches), and 1:07:00 (same character's arm stitches).
Not by means of using it as a coping strategy... Zach shows scars of his own doing - marking himself as he thinks its a way of communicating with Parnag Fegg or showing his devotion (or something like that)
You wouldn't think there would be a bunch of industrial sized strobe lights in the middle of a forest, but there are. Literally. And they flash through almost all of the climax.
There's a man who lives in the woods illegally, in a sparsely furnished abode made of tarpaulins and such, containing lots of equipment, tools and other objects. You can tell that he's been living there for a long time, and it seems like he feels at home there, but he'd probably be considered officially homeless.
