Their are two scenes where dogs are in danger and both are alive. One dog is threatened by one of the antagonists at gunpoint, but it survives. In another scene, a different dog picks up a small explosive, and drops it in a ditch where several robots are shooting at the main characters. The dog is seen to be fine as the character drive away.
[SPOILERS]
It's heavily implied that a pregnant person dies, but they're later found to be kept alive by life support. But, the unborn child is not alive.
Not explicitly debated but movie had very strong themes of what it means to be a person, if AI count as people, etc. Characters repeatedly ponder their own death and the possibility of an afterlife including a child AI character.
VERY bittersweet. The massive warship is destroyed, and the remaining AI bases are saved, but the main character sacrifices himself to save Alphie, who’s a robotic replica of his unborn daughter. He reunites with a synthetic replica of his wife, with her memories intact, and they embrace as the ship is destroyed.
