Sal is in fact stalked by a cult and there is a brief glimpse of the stalking seen on screen when an individual in the foreground ducks back into the bushes.
A character's pet rabbit is described as being accidentally killed with a firecracker in a few lines of dialogue. The incident of it's death is never shown.
Graphic depiction of a character vertically cutting open their own arm with a knife in Chapter 5. To skip the entire scene (the character holds a knife to their forearm for a few dialogue prompts before cutting it), look for the dialogue "Wait, I think I know what it means. I know what I have to do!", close your eyes and skip through dialogue prompts until you hear a loud thunder sound effect. To just skip the actual cutting, look for "I hope we meet again," close your eyes and skip until the thunder.
At the end of Episode 2, a character falls out of a treehouse, and dies when he hits the ground. While not confirmed, one of his shoulders appears like it could possibly be dislocated.
In episode 3, the gang finds a freezer full of deboned corpses, indicating that a character had been butchering people and making them into food products for human consumption. The process itself is never directly shown.
*Spoilers* Yes. Someone does break their bone if I remember correctly. At the end of chapter 2, Dr. Enon (I think that was his name?) falls out of Larry's old treehouse. It then cuts to a CG of Dr. Enon on the ground. I believe either his arm or leg was broken, possibly both.
I wanna say no, because I don't think any teeth are shown being damaged while still attached to a person, but there's some loose teeth that you have to collect and burn, so look out for that if that's not your cuppa
More psychological torture than anything, however in chapter 5 characters are seen hung upside down naked by a cult and (SPOILERS) Sal is executed by electric chair in chapter 4 which could be considered torture depending how long it took for him to die
(somewhat spoilers) Sally Face's therapist goes to Sal's friend's treehouse and is startled, which makes him fall out. It then shows him on the ground, with his knee completely bent and a bone popping out.
Many characters across the game are stabbed, or die by stabbing. A notable time this occurs is in Episode 4, where an event where many characters are killed by being stabbed is a main focus, as it is a major plot point in the story.
There is the ghost of a young girl. She's actually very sweet, but since she is a ghost she is technically dead (ableit we don't see her death on-screen).
[SPOILERS] In chapter 4, Sal is tasked with killing all the residents of the apartment building to prevent a demon/dark force from spreading and infecting more people, one of which is a young child.
There is a scene with a bed bound person, and there are a lot of adult diapers present. But we don’t see anything on screen besides the diapers themselves, and some stains around the bed bound person
There's an optional scene in Episode 3 where Sal discovers a love letter written and thrown away by a closeted boy, who he can talk to, and offers support, however the scene, and the closeted characters sexuality isn't directly mentioned after the scene occurs.
The main character deals with depression and I believe a few other things. He ends up having to kill the residents of the apartment he lives in, and while he does not wish to do so, he isn't given much choice in the matter.
[SPOILERS] A minor character in chapter 4, Herman Sanderson, shoots himself in the head. His body and ghost are shown with graphic damage from the gunshot. Later in chapter 4 a main character, Larry commits suicide with an unknown method. His body is never shown and there are no physical signs of injury on the ghost.
At one point Sal has to eliminate flying orange orbs with his guitar, and if he fails to many times, the walls around him (a mouth) will close in and kill him
In Chapter 2, a corpse is seen hanging from a noose. The optional minigame House of the Wretched also shows a hanging corpse at the end.
In Chapter 4 a major character commits suicide off-screen. The player can also optionally visit room 403 towards the end of the game and find a minor character has committed suicide with a firearm.
There are several times screaming is depicted with text, however during Episode 4 there is a moment with audible screaming, as two characters scream out at the sky to vent their frustrations.
In Chapter One Miss Rosenberg, an old woman, mistakenly misgenders Sal (a cisgender teenage boy who is rather short and wears pigtails) when she first meets him. No attention is brought to it and in later episodes she refers to him by the correct gender.
Absolutely. The goal of the main characters is to stop the cult. Travis is also shown to have religious trauma, causing him to have intense internalized homophobia
There is one NONSEXUAL scene where 4 people are sacrificed while naked, 2 male and 2 female, where you can see their penises, pubic hair and breasts. It is not focused on or detailed.
*Spoiler*After killing all his friends and family Sal’s put on death row for 2 years having to live with the guilt and torment of what he did. And later is executed via electric chair as one of is only friends left alive watches sobbing.
