Jacob, a man who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body, is sent to a clinic by his family where he is forced to undergo increasingly extreme forms of "curative" therapies at the hands of The Zookeeper. Jacob’s only solace is the enigmatic Wildcat, with whom he roams the hospital in the dead of night. The two form an improbable friendship that develops into infatuation.
While there is no typical type of kidnapping, all of the characters are abused and held against their will in a way that will disturb people who have experienced kidnapping.
The movie is based off of conversion therapy, and the victims are forced to gender themselves in order to not be abused. As a trans person I feel it did depict something close to misgendering.
While none of the characters are canonically autistic, the abuse pictured could upset someone who is sensitive to autism specific abuse. There is shaming, mocking, and physical violence around vocal and physical stims, as well as the stealing and destruction of comfort clothing/objects. It’s…. Intense, so lots of warning.
