No dog dies on screen, but the main character tours a house that smells of dog and then he later has a dream where there’s a very fake looking dead border collie in the kitchen
Not really, but a girl has two unsettling dreams about her father: One in which something terrifying happens to her, and she screams for him to help her, which he could easily at least try to do, but he just stands there watching it happen. Another - so brief that it's more like a flash - in which he suddenly comes running at her in a weird and scary way which makes it look like he's attacking her. We see it from the girl's POV. In other words, in her dreams the girl experiences a father who's outrageously neglectful and a father who scares her. Let me stress, though, that outside of her dreams, her father is nothing but calm, gentle and loving towards her.
No, but some of the dream scenes are highly likely to be triggering to people who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence. The dreams are very brief scenes from different women's dreams in which the woman who's dreaming is alone in a room with a man who's being violent towards her, even trying to kill her. I'm answering yes because of those scenes.
There is a scene where the main characters attention seeking behavior gets him into a situation with a young woman who, when told to stop, stops her advances. It's uncomfy, but definitely NOT s.a. as lots of people have marked it as. I feel it's more uncomfy because of HIS actions rather then hers. He pushes for something to happen, then changes his mind and runs away, crying. No assault.
As the main character is trying to gain access to the school play, he is stopped at the entrance. As he jostles with a woman trying to keep the door shut her hand is crushed and is then shown with an open gash from which blood spurts and her pinky finger is at an unnatural angle
Guessing the "yes" is in reference to Paul's daughter saying one of her classmates had a dream that Paul cut his (the classmate's) toes off and ate them. It's not one of the dreams that is shown on-screen.
The main character accidentally breaks a woman’s finger by closing a door on it. This is another scene where I was shielding my eyes a lot, because it’s quite bloody and upsetting.
Also, it is never shown, but a character discusses a dream where the main character cuts off and eats somebody’s toes.
In the opening scene something large falls from a height into a pool and there appears to be blood in the water. The implication is that a person has fallen from a great height but you don't see it.
re above: she does touch his penis and he does c*m, which fits some people’s definition of sex. they kiss and he touches her crotch, though the consent is dubious. it’s just a very rough scene all around.
Not too bad. One at the beginning when a glass table suddenly breaks by falling debris. Another when someone gets hit by an arrow during a dream sequence. It happens when you see a man jogging
A man who breaks into someone's house, looking distressed and repeatedly saying "I HAVE to kill you!" Afterwards, the house owner is told that the man is mentally ill.
In a woman's dream, yes. The dream goes like this: The woman is sitting in her living room, and suddenly she feels like someone is watching her from the shadowy hallway. She anxiously calls out "Who's there?", and only after several moments does the person walk towards her, slowly coming out of the dark. He doesn't hurt her - quite the opposite, one might say - but before the situation becomes enjoyable for her, it's scary. For the woman, the dream becomes a sexual fantasy, and she later pressures the man into reenacting it in real life.
A woman begins to open a man's pants and touches his penis to some extent in the process, and he comes within moments. We don't see his genitals or what comes out of them, so to speak.
