There is a dog in the movie who was owned by one of the victims. He is shown much later looking a bit dirty like he has been living on the streets since but otherwise fine.

There might be more but one is near the beginning when they’re showing the disgusting dirty village through short clips. It’s very sudden since it just randomly cuts to that so maybe you should just skip that whole scene or close your eyes
The main character is a socially unaware young man with a hyperfixation and can be easy perceived as autistic; said hyperfixation is also the sole reason for the whole "murderer" part.
