In the first few moments of episode 1 a girl is shown with her dog in a house when a bomb hits. Both the girl and her dog are shortly after shown alive and well.
A suicide attempt is shown in Episode 1 but it is presented (kind of strangely) light heartedly. The narrator says “there was one Christmas when she tried to kill herself” and a girl is seen taking pills and then is sick. Later, the same girl shouts that she wants to die and hangs out of the window, urging another girl to push her, again not serious but still could be triggering. No one dies either time.
No but two female cousins are shown to be very close and affectionate with each other, often play fighting. In one scene, a girl straddles her cousin and their faces are very close together before they are interrupted. Not presented in a negative or threatening way
In episode 1 a character tries to jump out of the window when she's upset as a teenager and another character has to hold her back, it's presented more as her being passionate than actually suicidal but could still be triggering
The father is abusive. The protagonist explains that he hates his children and that he beats them. There is a scene right at the beginning where he is chasing his children with a whip.
No but in episode 1 a character opens a window and threatens to throw herself out of it. She urges another girl to push her out but she doesn’t and no one dies.
Episode 1 has several scenes in linen closets but they’re not usually presented as scary, one might be considered claustrophobic as a girl is hiding inside with her cousin and it’s a very small closet under the stairs
There is a father who is very controlling of his children, refusing them education and even to leave the house grounds. In one scene he chases after them on horseback. After one of his daughters tells him that she is engaged, he yells and chases her under the table, flipping it when she hides. He shouts at her and goes to hit her but is pulled away by someone. A baby is shown abandoned by her mother, given to a relative to be raised and paid very little attention growing up.
There is mention of dead mouse in Episode 1. Also a rabbit in some water that is thought to be dead but turns out to be okay. Some stuffed animals are shown quite close up mainly a fox
Fox hunting shown in episode 1 using dogs. We see a stuffed fox but not the death itself. In episode 3 a puppy is briefly kept in a gift box as a present
There are leeches in episode 2, which are worms I guess? Not really bugs but I don't know where else to put them and they bother a lot of people. They're only in a jar.
In a way yes, in the first few moments of episode 1 a girl lies down in her bed with her dog when a bomb suddenly hits the house. She is later shown unharmed.
