SPOILER: When we first meet that person, they are attacked by a whole bunch of vigilante women suspecting them of being the flasher that is loose in the neighbourhood. They are kind of cornered and vulnerable and are defended, by the (suspended) cop, as having done nothing illegal and harming nobody. He (the cop) The cop calls them "he", which jars with their gender expression in the situation, but also is not meant in a bad or hurtful way.
It's a relief to see the T in LGBT defended against exactly those baseless accusations that I see flying around all the time these days. (Generally, if you are against sexual assault, you can count on most T-people being on your side, since they are a very exposed group themselves, hurt by the patriarchy. In all groups there are bad apples, but T-people are some of the best allies against the things they are accused of).

There are several comments about a man cross dressing suggesting he’s dangerous or might bring down the value of the neighborhood

Early in the show a peaceful, unsuspecting parked car is hit by a person in ep. 1. Poor car - it had done nothing wrong!
Spoiler
Late in the show a murderous person is being hunted in a car race and it is not nice.
