Father Brown is based on G. K. Chesterton's detective stories about a Catholic priest who doubles as an amateur detective in order to try and solve mysteries.
This tv show contains 6 potentially triggering events.
A doctor is suspected of sexually grooming an underage girl and kidnapping her (he didn't). The way the first scene with them is filmed it seems sexual and it takes a while to become clear she's being medically examined.
The main character is a Catholic priest. Most of the recurring characters are Catholic as well, and some episodes are themed around Catholic rituals and objects (crosses, rosaries). There are also episodes with religious cults, and characters are shamed for doing evil in the name of God. Confession is also a major part of the show.
A cult leader takes surreptitious photos of at least one of his female followers. Other photos are shown in his creepy collection, but it's unclear if they were taken without the knowledge of the women in them
No but the Countess sprains her ankle badly, so it functions a lot like a break as far as her action goes and she and is laid up for the rest of the episode
The police in the show consistently get the wrong person for the crime. Generally they act on predjudice rather than evidence and they stop investigating loose ends once they think they can get a conviction. In spite of this they are generally portrayed sympathetically as being honest people doing their best.
I think it's at an orphanage, but there is some brief footage of a woman being forced to give up her baby and her voiceover says she was locked up "with lunatics"
It appears someone does, but it is soon after alleged that he could not have killed himself but was murdered, but ultimately it is deemed a suicide. Another character is prepping a suicide attempt at the end of the episode but is stopped
Around 14-15 minutes and again at 17:30 and 40 minutes and again at the end, quite a lot and they seem to think it's funny but it's pretty annoying if babies crying bother you
This is hinted at about halfway through the episode and then discussed in more detail at about 28 minutes. It initially sounds like the baby was stillborn, but turns out she was born with serious complications and then dies as an infant.
I'm not really informed enough to comment on this, but an Indian guru type guy is shown as a spiritual advisor to a character and he goes about chanting in Sanskrit and doing other rituals etc. He's portrayed pretty favorably but also with a sort of mystical insight / future telling ability
Sort of. A guy is revealed to have undergone some horrific stuff at the hands of Nazis, and he saves the life of a Nazi he earlier tried to kill, then he escapes
A woman is found dead in the water after an apparent drowning. The inspector on the scene deems it an accidental drowning, though Father Brown immediately questions it
