Same with dogs, as toons can be various species. Toons can take damage from cogs and go sad, but nothing even close to graphic or death will ever occur.
In early beta builds of the original Toontown, Toons were naked in the character creation menu prior to choosing clothes. This was removed in the final build.
Well, some people might role play as being married or part of a family and the real people playing those toons might be of very different ages. This isn’t part of the base game.
I believe in the Rewritten lore Gyro Gearloose rewrites his body into that of a toon after feeling guilt from creating the cogs, which is close I'd think.
No babies are in the game, but it’s possible to make your toon be very tiny which can resemble a baby. Some people may also role play as a baby. But no babies are in the game on default.
At the end of the V.P boss battle, the boss will fall off the top of the skyscraper you're fighting on. "Death" is being used very loosely here as it's only implied, and on a cartoon robot.
Additionally, certain Trap gags can cause cogs to fall through something and explode.
At certain angles, when Pencil Pushers use Fill With Lead, it looks like they are violently stabbing themself. In reality, they are stabbing a pencil into a sharpener they are holding close to their chest. There is also a cog called a Back Stabber who is sort of shaped like a knife, but doesn't stab anyone
In Rewritten lore, a toon named Slappy was made sad and captured by cogs, allegedly. Additionally, in the V.P. battle NPCs can be seen locked in a cage by cogs that toons have to rescue.
One of the trolley games involves diving to the bottom of the ocean to get treasure chests. Donald's Dock also requires you to swim underwater to regain Laff points quicker, but there are other ways to gain Laff if you need to.
The game has a built in swear filter to prevent swearing, but some people still manage to bypass the filter by saying something like “stew pit” instead of stupid. These phrases have been added to the game’s chat blacklist to prevent them from being said. People saying bad words can be reported.
Animal cartoon characters that you play as are subject to attacks based on things related to corporations and capitalism and are shown being hurt (cringing, being knocked over, set on fire, etc) but it is not gorey at all and is just cartoon violence
Players play as anthropomorphic animals, and if they are defeated by an enemy they "go sad" and are sent back to the playground in order to feel happier. They sulk for a few minutes, but once they get Laff points back they are okay :)
Cat Toons exist in the game, and they can run out of Laff and go sad which is essentially this game’s version of “dying” but they can restore their HP after respawning at the playground.
The Laff Meter (basically your health bar) displays as a smiley face and as you lose health the cartoon smiley face teeth will disappear as your health gets lower and they’ll change color to reflect how much HP you have. It’s not as bad as it sounds when described. Also, one Toon Task involves a character who breaks a tooth on some crunchy bread, so you have to go to another character to get that tooth repaired only for it to have to be replaced so you obtain a tooth by defeating a certain enemy, then give the character their new tooth. The actual teeth aren’t seen.
The cog attack Evil Eye includes the cog leaning forward and their eye popping out of their head and rolling toward the player. Cartoony, but very uncomfortable for me at least. Two Faces, Legal Eagles, and Corporate Raiders are the only ones who have this move.
As it’s an online multiplayer game, some players might say this. I’ve experienced it happening in the past. I think this can be reported, but I’m unsure.
As it’s an online multiplayer game, some mean players might be there and harass someone for being autistic / use autism as an insult, but this isn’t in the game on default and can be reported.
It is possible and quite common for the games collisions to glitch causing your character to rapidly move from one place to another, causing flashing images
Nobody is pregnant in the game and nobody really dies, though some players might be pregnant in real life. People may also roleplay as being parents and other Toons being their children.
There are only two genders in the game, however this doesn’t affect gameplay at all aside from clothes and your character having or not having eyelashes to differentiate boy and girl toons. Another player may misgender you, but you can correct them.
All clothing except skirts aren’t gender locked (as of writing this review, skirts may be un-gender locked at some point) so boy Toons can wear feminine accessories such as bows if desired and aren’t made fun of by any NPCs or anything, however as it is an online game some people might make fun of you for your clothes. But you might also get compliments for having cool outfits too.
No, but there are a few furniture items inspired by stereotypical portrayals of Native American culture. Toontown Rewritten themselves did not make these, these furniture items were made by the Toontown Online team in the early 2000s.
