One of the nurses who struggles with bulimia has a pet kitten. When it begins eating its food, she roughly picks it up by the scruff of its neck and tells it that it will eat when she allows it to, and that she won’t let it get fat like her. She then roughly drops/tosses the kitten away, and it lands offscreen. The kitten is later shown to be unharmed.

One of the nurses has bulimia. She is shown making a purposely-disgusting drink mixture, ingesting it, and then throwing up into a plastic bag. The nurse then weighs the bag of vomit to see how much weight she lost from it.

During the opening scene, a woman is sedated via needle injection. This scene is revisited several times throughout the film, and we also see several other women have needles injected into them through the film’s runtime.
