Chen Zhen returns to the international compound of China only to learn of his beloved teacher's death. This is compounded by the continual racist harassment by the Japanese population in the area. Unlike his friends, he confronts it head on with his mastery of martial arts while investigating his teacher's murder.

I've seen this movie a bunch of times, because I watched the Rifftrax version, where the comedians called the animal a "squirrel" about 8 times. I would conclude the animal is some kind of rodent or lagomorph. Because I know the shape of cats quite well and the guys from Rifftrax constantly make horrible jokes involving violence against them, and I think if it was a cat they would've called it one. Its body doesn't look like a cat or I couldn't bear to see it.
