A dead pig is shown in the opening minute. An already dead pig is used later in the show to demonstrate forensic evidence. Both scenes are unnecessary, in my opinion. Although the rest of the series is free of animal abuse and death, I’m frankly tired of shows in which animals are dead or killed. I didn’t check DDD first but should have known better. I know that animals dying is a fact of life, but so is diarrhoea, and I don’t want to watch that either. That said, it’s an excellent series otherwise.
