Wounded to the brink of death and suffering from amnesia, Jason Bourne is rescued at sea by a fisherman. With nothing to go on but a Swiss bank account number, he starts to reconstruct his life, but finds that many people he encounters want him dead. After the fight with the assassin at the apartment, Marie becomes freaked out and tries to approach him. Jason grabs her around the waist and picks her up, to prevent her from approaching the injured assassin.
Also at one point, Marie becomes scared of Jason and tries to run away from him, but he chases her, backs her against a wall, and forcibly holds her there even when she tries to get away.
