In Episode 8, a dog in a space suit is tossed into space. However, in a later scene, we see Brett catch the alive and well dog on the rocket ride back and carry the dog inside.
In Episode 7, Rafe Masters is unhealthily clingy to Reagan. Reagan fakes her death to get him to leave her alone, but he still ends up following her inadvertently on a hunt to find her killer.
An extra villain in Episode 7 falls out of a window and lands in a puddle of blood in front of Reagan, along with her other shoe. She puts it on and keeps walking.
Additionally, someone falls to their death at the end of EP9.
Reagan's dad is often drinking and has had his liver replaced many times, and theres a character who specialises in medicine and is often shown addicted to various drugs
This show has a bit of a problem when it comes to consent. There's an scene in Episode 4 where Brett is sexually assaulted by Glenn's ex-wife after repeatedly telling her 'no', and it's casually shrugged off as a minor plot point at best. Glenn even gets angry with Brett for being assaulted. No one in the show points out the error in his logic or explains that what happened was, in fact, sexual assault.
Then, at the beginning of Episode 7, we see a flashback sequence where Reagan gets incredibly drunk before sleeping with Rafe Masters, a handsome stranger she met on the boat. Sexual assault isn't exactly implied there, but it can be disturbing when you take into account how heavily under the influence she was at the time.
Ep.2 mute 3:10-3:20 (non-graphic but the noise is incredibly unpleasant) Ep.2 mute 4:10-4:30 (non-graphic but again noise is very unpleasant) Ep.2 Brett says "Where is my puke bucket" and retches but doesn't vomit 9:13-9:16
Main character Reagan is autism-coded and one episode mentions the possibility of her having Aspergers (nothing confirmed, just speculation from peers/parents). Her autistic traits are sometimes played as a punchline though or seen as "weird" which could come across as ableist
Reagan is obviously autistic coded (Her mother and another character even say that she might have Aspergers multiple times, which is an outdated term). She is told to make eye contact and hug people, even if she feels uncomfortable doing so, which is a bit questionable to me.
She's a relatable character to me, an autistic person but yeah, her being forced to make eye contact and hug is kinda ableist and ABA-ish but overall, her portrayal is mostly good
This one has some gray area. Episode 3 is entirely dedicated to the "reptilian" conspiracy theory: a theory often associated with antisemitism. They very plainly show that in this universe, 'reptoids' are real, can disguise themselves as humans, and have significant power. However, they never mention Judaism in particular at all in the episode, even to refute the antisemitic parts of the theory.
There's blood and gore often in the show. Decapitation, loss of limbs...it doesn't look very realistic due to the cartoonish art style, but I imagine it'd be a lot for more squeamish viewers to take in.
Gun violence is frequent. Sometimes it's switched out for lasers or similar weapons, like in the AI fight in the pilot or the EP8 zero-point generator, but there are a lot of guns in the show. Guns/the threat of gun violence are/is also sometimes played for laughs.
