I wouldn’t say it’s for spectacle exactly but there is one instance that is very intense and hateful though the violence isn’t shown:
A girl’s missing mother is shown to have been violently beaten together by a man, you don’t see this happen but there is an upsetting scene where she lays unconscious and bleeding while he storms about the room screaming and stomping around her body.

I voted yes but it’s yes and no… artistic liberties were definitely taken to express DID but I’d argue the only worst misrepresentation of DID in the show is the information given to Su-yeol by his eccentric psychiatrist, some of which is disproved by a different psychiatrist and most of which is discredited by the first psychiatrist’s questionable advice on most everything.
There are also times where Su-yeol thinks he understands how DID works, where I assumed the show agreed with his assumptions (like when he gets K to agree to disappear) but later learns that he is wrong and can’t force himself to just “be normal”.
This isn’t to say nobody would find this show upsetting, I was put off by the psychiatrist initially who is primarily a comic relief character but I think there’s some nuance to wether or not it’s good DID representation.
It’s definitely no “Split”.
