The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar
Movie • 2023 • Comedy
ReportHenry Sugar, a wealthy man with a penchant for gambling. One day, he discovers a doctor’s report which describes a strange patient from India who was able to see despite the fact that his eyes were sewn completely shut by doctors, and who used his strange abilities to conduct a very interesting – and incredibly lucrative – act for the circus. After discovering the method by which the doctors “removed” the Indian man’s sight, Henry conducts the procedure on himself, and eventually gives himself the power to see despite his sewn-shut eyes. With the help of his new powers, Henry undergoes a series of charades designed to make him a tremendous amount of money.

At one point the writer character puts something in their mouth, chewing and talking at the same time. Could be triggering for people with misophonia, but can be avoided.

I'd say no, but someone sees it as a good thing that deaf people could hear and blind people see using a certain technique. This is very brief, and I'm only mentioning it out of caution.

Imdad secretly follows someone non-maliciously for the purpose of finding someone else (to learn from them) and in the same scene he also mentions the possibility of a tiger stalking him, this however does not happen

One character’s mouth is covered by medical bandages, along with most of the characters head, but this is done harmlessly and with consent. The person is in no way injured.

A man voluntarily gets doctors to (harmlessly) seal his eyes shut and plaster dough on them before wrapping most of his head in a thick bandage.
this ISN'T graphic and he isn't in any distress but may be upsetting if eye-stuff/blindfolding is a trigger

Not shown, only talked about. The two deaths are not violent or graphic, but of natural causes (SPOILERS: one falls asleep and doesn't wake up, the other from blood embolism).

At the start after the docters bandage Imdad khan's head and he walks out of the building (so he can ride a bicycle with his head bandaged) some excited children make sorta excited noises but not exactly at the point of screaming
When henry sugar is throwing money out the window in the latter half of the film the crowd goes wild and some bickering and distant yelling can be heard, i have a screaming trigger but it didn't trigger me too bad but i wanted to turn the sound down or mute it.

Characters are constantly staring right at the camera and explaining the events like a written story to the viewers. Impossible to avoid.

The q word is used twice i think, Not in a derogatory fashion or to describe any LGBTQ+ people (i think they said it when they meant 'extraordinary' ) but if this word is a trigger or upsetting please be aware of this!

Henry Sugar is seen dressed in a dress and appearing feminine whilst also having a moustache for a disguise. This could be for laughs but lasts less than a minute, maybe twenty seconds. It isn't commented by him or other characters. This happens when he is telling us his plan.
