A Pigeon Sat On a Branch Reflecting On Existence

Movie • 2014 • Drama

Report
An absurdist, surrealistic and shocking pitch-black comedy, which moves freely from nightmare to fantasy to hilariously deadpan humour as it muses on man’s perpetual inhumanity to man.

There’s a scene where a monkey is seen bound in some kind of electroshock machine.

At the end of the film there’s a pretty graphic scene of a group of black (presumably) slaves being guided (by force) in to a giant copper barrel hold on pillars. There’s a fire lit beneath the barrel. To not burn a live the people inside start moving and the barrel turns.
