Pig being butchered is already dead, not killed on screen. Same with the armadillo (same image used from original Chainsaw film). So this is the category to use. No animals are shown dying on screen in this movie. That being said, the pig is hanging and having its insides removed, so it is graphic enough to issue a warning.
Two instances that are sort of restraining. 1) old woman gets picked up by two cops and taken out of her house while having a heart attack, 2) two characters are locked in the back of a police vehicle against their will.
this is a pretty important plot point towards the end. two characters are fighting around a pool of water, one falls in and drags the other in as they fall. they wrestle underwater for a bit, both trying to push the other down, until one manages to get out and begins crawling away. the other climbs out after them and drags them back into the water
repeatedly hit with a sledgehammer onscreen. very brutal. timestamp for the actual squashing is 44:00-44:17 but the squashed head is seen again at 47:53-47:59
It only happens once at about 15min into the movie but around 31min, when a couple comes back to the house, you can see it on the floor zoomed in. Also bear in mind there are many moments where characters spit blood too which can easily be mistaken!
Not quite, but these films have always made those with mental disabilities come across as villainous animals at best 😒😤 Depends on perspective, I suppose, but it's definitely problematic.
debatable. characters react to extremely tense situations with hyperventilation and crying. i wouldn't catagorise this as an anxiety attack; i get anxiety attacks and while they can be triggered by external stimuli, they're mostly caused by internal thoughts and are not rational, and it's fairly rational to be scared when hiding from a serial killer
(there were other comments unsure of if the makeup scene was a man in dress joke, we deleted them after the top comment gave a very good + thorough answer)
the protagonists believe an old woman is illegally occupying her home and they try to kick her out. it's only after her death that they realise they were wrong and she was legally allowed to be there
One of the sisters doesn’t make it, it happens quickly and isn’t dragged out but it is a incredibly sad note to leave on. If you don’t want to see it, stop the movie as soon as the one girl says f**k off” in response to a joke while in the car about to drive away.
