Once again tampering with mother nature to disastrous results, Dr. Herbert West continues his research while serving time in a maximum security prison for his previous exploits. West's limited prison-cell experiments are suddenly interrupted by the arrival of a new prison doctor and the brother of the girl who suffered from West's experiments 13 years earlier.

A very cute fancy rat is electrocuted. It's another prisoner's pet, and he's made a little cardboard house for it.
He's not supposed to be a fancy rat, he's supposed to be a wild rat, but fancy rats are easy to train so he was used. He's very cute, very chubby, and he's got big boggly eyes, which made him very sympathetic. It was upsetting to see him die, but the puppet of his dead body is not realistic.
He is reanimated and survives thereafter, sharing a body with another rat. During the credit scene he gets into a fight with a severed p***s
