The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.
This movie contains 22 potentially triggering events.
Not really, but there's a scene where the villain claims that Tadashi was to blame for his own death, even though Tadashi was going in to save him. It greatly upsets Hiro.
Only a very mild one: While Hiro is exploring the empty warehouse, Baymax suddenly shows up next to him. It startles Hiro quite a bit, though audiences probably won't be as startled.
Early in the movie, there's a scene where Hiro and Tadashi land in jail. Hiro sits in his own cell while Tadashi is stuck in a cell with a whole bunch of other criminals. Luckily, soon after this scene they are freed.
In the end boss battle, all of the main characters are in some way trapped and panicked about escaping. They’re all pretty brief but are a possible claustrophobia trigger nonetheless.
An Asian-American character dies fairly early on, but it's not intended to follow the "poc dies first" trope, as a wide variety of racial groups are also seen in the movie and they survive.
Only a few minor references. Baymax diagnoses Hiro with puberty, and tells him about things he should expect to experience, such as "strange new urges". He also tells him about parts of his body he should expect to grow hair in, but is interrupted before he can mention anything inappropriate.
During a chase scene, a (presumably empty) vehicle is thrown and lands upside down, and the car carrying the main characters crashes into the water. No characters are harmed.
