This tv show contains 5 potentially triggering events.
In episode 5, Thomas Seymour is sneaking around at night and shoots Edward's dog for barking at him. You hear it yelp and its limp body is shown a few times. The scene lasts from around 43:20-44:50. The dog's body is shown again around 46:10-47:20 and you see blood on its head.
At the beginning of episode 4, a man smashes a priest in the face with a cross, then his eye is shown mutilated. The camera doesn't linger and he is shown partly in shadow but it's still gross. Later he is shown with his eye missing and the skin healed over but bruised.
Bloody warfare in episode 1. A bloody cockfight in episode 4. Throats slit in episode 6, and a graphic beheading around 44:10 to 44:30. A graphic burning of a priest in episode 7 from 2:55-4:00.
In episode 7, a priest is executed on a pyre from around 2:55 to 4:00. It is very graphic and upsetting, with screaming and visibly burning flesh. It happens very suddenly and I almost had a panic attack, so in case my time stamps don't match up with yours it happens immediately after Somerset reads a letter telling him he has been released from prison.
In episode 4, Catherine Parr gives birth to her daughter with Thomas Seymour. The childbirth is not shown, but the baby is shown soon after, being held by Jane Grey, then by the baby's father Thomas and mother Catherine.
Not by blood, but Thomas Seymour is technically Elizabeth's stepfather, being married to Catherine Parr, Henry's widow and former queen, and he seduces her.
Jane Grey's father whips her in episode 3. He and other men joke about slapping their daughters in episode 4. John Dudley punches his son Robert in episode 7.
A stag is shot with an arrow in episode 2 around 35:00. It doesn't die immediately and bellows in pain until Elizabeth stabs it in the throat with a knife. It's clearly CGI but the sounds are pretty upsetting if you're sensitive to animal cries. The scene is over around 37:20. In episode 4 a rooster dies in a cockfight, the scene lasting from around 24:20 to 26:30. In episode 4 a falcon has its feathers plucked out alive from 4:10 to 4:25. You don't see it die but that is Edward's purpose, and you hear it screeching in pain.
In the first few minutes of S1 Ep 6 Edward demands a falcon killed by having its feather plucked while still alive and it starts onscreen. It's very disgusting and distressing.
Yes. As Thomas Seymour is fleeing from the king's chambers, in episode 5, Robert Dudley tries to stop him and is thrown down the stairs. Seymour then attacks Robert where he lies at the bottom of the stairs.
Also, in episode 7, Mary's Bishop Gardner is thrown down some outdoor steps
