there is frequent talk about overdoses as one of the main subjects of the film is fighting a large opioid producing corporation that is guilty of funding and basically supporting the opioid crisis. there is also a very upsetting 911 phone call recording depicting an overdose.

Nan Goldin's sister died by suicide when she was young and she describes it in detail towards the end of the film.
