Synopsis

A reboot of the franchise. 17 year-old Li is a karate pro who finds his life upended when he and his mother move from Beijing to New York. After Li meets Mia, a student from his high school, and her father, Victor, at a local pizza restaurant, he’ll soon find his life has changed yet again – for the better. Li soon finds himself training Victor in the art of Kung Fu, despite his mother’s stance against violence and fighting, and ultimately back in the ring himself.

YES, there is a prolonged scene outside hospital entrance with prominent ambulance lights flashing throughout (intercut with a flashback also set at a hospital with flashing ambulance lights).

Also the ‘5 Boroughs’ montage includes rapidly cut fast-moving establishing shots to transition between locations.

Other than that, the film features some animated sequences (intro scene and above montage) and on-screen text/effects which have a jerky flickering effect. Other montages include shots with brief flashes such as street signs and lighting flashing in the background, lights flickering on/off in a subway car, etc.
